Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
What can I expect from the first visit?
Your first appointment includes a thorough intake where we review your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. We’ll discuss both your immediate concerns and the bigger picture of your long-term health. From there, I’ll create a clear, personalized plan that outlines the first steps toward restoring balance and building lasting wellbeing.
What modalities do you use?
Depending on your needs, treatment will vary. Treatment may include nutrition and lifestyle therapy, botanical medicine, physical medicine or targeted supplementation. I also use IV therapy, red light therapy, ozone therapy, EBOO treatments, IV laser therapy and more. We’ll choose strategies that are practical, effective, and aligned with your preferences.
Do you offer in-person and telemedicine appointments?
I offer both in person and virtual appointments. In person appointments for those located in or traveling to San Diego are in the Pacific Beach area at the Lamont Integrative Medical Center. I encourage people to come in person if they are able as it allows for physical exam and other modalities that can be highly effective. Telemedicine appointments are available for those who are located outside San Diego or prefer virtual appointments for convenience. Virtual care allows for flexibility and continuity, and I’ve found it to be highly effective in supporting patients with a wide range of health concerns.
What do Naturopathic Consultations cost?
Please contact me for current consultation rates. I’ll be happy to provide details and answer any questions about what’s included in your first visit and follow-ups.
What do each of the additional modalities cost?
In addition to consultations and lab testing, I also offer advanced therapies such as EBOO, IV laser therapy, and other restorative treatments. Pricing for these modalities varies, and I will be happy to provide details based on your individual care plan.
What kinds of conditions do you treat?
I work with people who are struggling with chronic illness, unresolved digestive issues, fatigue, hormone imbalance, immune challenges, systemic inflammation, and long-COVID. Many of my patients have tried standard approaches but still don’t feel well.
Rather than treating symptoms one by one, I focus on restoring the body’s foundational systems — digestion, immunity, and mitochondrial energy. By calming inflammation and strengthening these systems, I help patients regain balance, resilience, and lasting vitality.
How long does it take to see results?
Everyone’s healing journey is unique. Some people notice improvements in energy or digestion within a few weeks, while others need a longer-term approach as we calm inflammation and rebuild resilience. Together we’ll set clear expectations and realistic milestones, adjusting the plan as your body restores balance.
Do you take insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill upon request that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so please check with your provider. In most cases, basic blood work is often covered, while visits and specialty labs are less likely to be reimbursed. Upon request, I can provide superbills for both visits and lab testing to support you in seeking coverage whenever possible.
What do Labs cost?
Specialty lab testing typically ranges from $225 to $1,750, depending on which tests are most relevant for your health concerns. If you already have recent lab work, or if certain tests can be ordered through another provider and covered by insurance, we will use that information to reduce costs whenever possible. Some specialty labs may also be reimbursable when submitted with a superbill, depending on your insurance plan. We’ll review all options together, and I will never order testing without your agreement. My goal is to prioritize what will give us the clearest insight and the best next steps for your care.
